New pop-up businesses opening in Downtown San Francisco

San Francisco’s “Vacant to Vibrant” program is revitalizing downtown by transforming empty storefronts into bustling pop-up businesses. Eight new storefronts are opening soon, including Hungry Crumbs bakery, Paper Son Cafe and Aurora Centro’s Italian deli.

The initiative offers three months of free rent, expedited permits, and potential lease extensions, helping small business owners experiment with new locations and bring energy back to the city. The program’s goal is to create a diverse, vibrant downtown reflecting the city’s unique identity.
