88 Townsend
This building is located on the original site of the California Warehouse, which was erected in 1882, built to hold cargo en route to and from the city’s pity. In 1994, the warehouse became part of San Francisco’s s South End Historic District along Second Street, which is a part of San Francisco’s South Beach neighborhood.
88 Townsend was developed into condominiums by The Rosenberg Company and designed by Sternberg Benjamin Architects. It is 5 stories high and holds 112 units. These junior 1-, 1- and 2-bedroom condominiums offer oversized windows, 9 foot ceilings, granite countertops and high-end kitchen appliances. Some include a private patio or terrace.
Outside you’ll find two landscaped courtyards. On the roof is a shared deck, and downstairs there is 1 deeded parking space per unit. The site of 88 Townsend also includes a Zipcar location.
